GOOD news. I hope it happens. I just drove a TDI VW Jetta. Nice. A little turned off by the VW brand rep for customer service/satisfaction, but I am willing to switch brands and go for it. Honda has a diesel coming. I don't know if I can hold out for subrau. If it does not happen I'll get the VW sportwagen.I found a reference for the Subaru Boxer Diesel, it only meets Euro Bin4 not Bin5/level2 (50) state emission. Do you know if it will use Urea or the NSC (NOx Storage Catalyist)?

Subaru is now looking to add the diesel to just-released second-gen Forester and Impreza models. At the Detroit Auto Show, Fuji Heavy Industries (Subaru's parent company) president Ikuo Mori said the diesels should arrive here by mid-2010.

I HATE SUBARU FOR NOT BRINGING THE DIESEL TO THE USA!!!!!I loved my Subaru car; had a gas '98 pushrod GL 4dr, 5 spd manual. Great car, drove it over a decade happly. HOWEVER SUBARU WILL NOT BRING THE DIESEL TO USA NEXT YEAR OR 2010. IDIOTS! Even Honda has a diesel sedan coming. May be they can't meet Bin5/lev2 emission? I want a Subie diesel and VW is all there is. Benz too big too little MPG. Any one know the MPG for the Subaru Diesel in Europe. Give it to me in Km per liter if you want.

lool to nie jest diesel bo na animacji pokazany jest zapłon a w diesel działa na zasadzie spreżania a w rezultacie dokonuje sie zapłon samoczynny

That's what the scoop is for.

That's how a diesel engine works, dumbass. The fuel ignites from compression, and you can't inject it while it's on the compression stroke, so it's injected right before top dead center. |
