I prefer plugging dist pedals first, i mean like this: AMP -> delay/phaser/flanger -> Overdrive -> Distortion -> Guitar.

So true, the vox tonelab is probably the best tube multi pedal out there. It sounds soo good :)

i was just wondering how much the sound would vary depeinding on the type of amp you use. i use a fender, so would this make the pedal sound tramatically different as apposed to it being used through a mesa amp?

I think Vox Tonelab le is way better by far for tube pedals specially in all kinds of blues .
