Yeah, I know...but no one ever plays it like that. I think Chopin meant that those notes needed to be heard and stressed for the purpose of rhythm, not really accents though.

Accents? Chopin marked the first semiquaver of every group of four with an accent. It's in the score. It's not meant to be an even tone all the way.

I think Freddy Kempf is the offspring of Wilhelm Kempff. Besides both having the musical gene, there's also a physical resemblance if you study their faces. I've not been able to document the connection; perhaps Freddy was not acknowledged. His bio says "German father and Japanese mother", with no reference to Kempff. Likewise Wilhelm's obit mentions five children not named. No reference to having ever been married to a Japanese woman. Perhaps Freddy took his name but changed the spelling?

In Colombia there a man very virtuos. He too play that 24 etudes... HE IS WIHT ZIMERMAN O KEMPF SURE.... SOBRADÍSISMO IS THE BEST PIANIST OF COLOMBIA JUAN DOMINGO CORDOBA AGUDELO. Lo tenemos tan cerca como podemos y no lo vemos. !
