well, op.10 no.7 is deceivingly formidable. however, i ran through the first couple bars of op.10 no.7, and i KNOW i could not do that with op.10 no.2. i have tried so many times, with no avail. i believe op.10 no.7 is an exercise in tucking the thumb. it becomes increasingly difficult when navigating about the black keys. but there is, and i speak for myself on this, limited technical adversity to surmount...sike! i practiced double-note studies before, so it was no shock to me.

many people say op.10 no.7 is, rather than no.10 no.2, is a prerequisite to op.25 no.6. But you're right too.

My god, this etude is one of my favs.Also Freddy Kempf is a great pianist- I think his performances of Beethoven Chopin and Prokofiec are really good. and he's cute :}

This etude is more difficult to play immediately after playing Op. 10. No. 1. Those stretches in the right hand of the first etude...and now the right hand must contract into the chromatic legato ascent of the second!

I think you overstate things. It's definitely not "completely blur much better, but not that bad what you said. I mean look around in youtube? So many bad versions. So compared to those this is not so bad?

your ex-piano teacher is right. op. 10 no.2 is almost a prerequisite to op.25 no.6. though, if you are reckless, op.10 no.1 or op.25 no.11 will be the most difficult.

Completely Blurry and unclear.Too much for him.Why that asshole is so pretentious?.His interpretation make me remember the ugly version of Chistoph Escehnbach Chopin estudes recording whe he was still a pinist ( very mediocre) .Maybe if this kempff choose a different repertoire could be a little better.Two things in life which are dangerous: Eat fish, and play chopin.666 |
