exactly, its keeps them sane and balanced,so if they lose its not really the end of the world, and if they chose to stop playing one day, they will have another life to continue with.both venus and serena are doing great on and off the court with their clothes lines and interior decorating.kudos to them:)

That's so true. I remember watching Serena play in the US Open and John Mcenroe and the other commentators were actually saying how good it was for the Williams sisters to have outside interests. That it basically made them love tennis more (because they weren't playing 24/7 and making it seem too much like a chore) and made them hungry to win.

having other interests is the best way to do it,their lives are so balanced.henin couldnt handle the pressure, look where she is,ivannovic is cracked under the pressure of being no1,but look where the "part time" tennis players are.venus won her 7th grand slam this year and serena her 9th,including a gold at the olympics for doubles aswell as wimbledon, the tennis world may criticize but their results speaks volumes

Williams sisters get crap only from racist tennis fans, which thankfully are few. Yet they did get a bit of crap from tennis purists for the Williams sisters branching off into other avenues. Like the fact they both have their own clothing line and are considered celebrities in their own right. Basically, they are just haters. |
