what a piss off that the phenoms dont idle under 5 watts (like 3 watts or something) if hey did they would be revolutionary in terms of power efficiency and performance and i would gladly pay a couple hundred for one, but theyre not. idle state efficiency is the most important b'cause the processor spends more time in idle doing squat than not, why should we need fans as loud as hair dryers, and waste money for power drainage for a chip thats doing nothing, whats up with that.

ok all Intel do is get the old technology, downsize it, double the performance then fit it onto a CPUAMD: actually build things from the ground up, trying something new.Give AMD the same amount of money that Intel has and then lets see what would happen

What a crock of shit, i love AMD but they need to get their foot out of their mouth and get with the program before they run themselves out of the game. First off, the Phenom is in no way a "brand new design" its just a glorified K8. And thats why the Phenom berely outperforms the old X2s.
