Its an amazing film, I really like it. Im reading the book. Some parts of the book and the film arent really the same, but its the best book to film adaption Ive ever seen. He didnt love the plum girl, he was thinking about what would of happened, if they had fallen in love.If none of the murders happened, if he was happy. All he wanted was to be loved.

I loved this film. Whishaw stunned me with the wide range of emotions expressed when acting his role as Jean Baptiste Grenouille. Seeing him act for the first time in this film clearly reveals his passion for acting and his exceptional talent in this field especially at such a young age. I wasn't surprised to read about his impressive background and life as an actor on the web laer. Definitely a current and future star!

on the other hand, it says in the book that Grenouille has only found gratification in hating and being hated... and simply commits suicide because of his hatred of people, and his disgust at their 'blindness'- when he wears his masterpiece perfume, the people believe that they are adoring him, when in reality they are merely fawning over a mask and not the person behind it.

It's one heck of a crazy movie. The ending is absoulutely messed up but it's a absoulute must see for any movie lover. |
