Where did "republican" come in??

i remember playing this song for some students when we were discussing appropriation and intertextuality. some also laughed, and they were university students. i think people get embarassed when they feel something in public. and i also think that people refuse to delve into this song enough and believe that it has judeo-christian republican type values. jarenmovie11 i'm sure you'er a pleasure to teach... or will go somewhere better than your peers at least.

being strongly sensitive to all that is sounds like you are quite human. The others are just not willing to give up their comfort zones at this time. Many do end up walking a similar consciousness as you, but sometimes it's at a very late time in their lives. You just may be fortunate to see and experience it so soon : ) Best wishes.

My english teacher played this for our class talking about how he got the song out and do we think he died unhappy.. a real sentimental thing that it seemed like i was the only one who could relate to. half the class was laughing at this performance... its a real shame that all the youth in this world is subject to conforming with others and are oblivious to how beautiful life and music is. felt like i had to say something.Rest In Peace Jeff Buckley.
