The laser just heats up the shell of the rocket and the fuel inside that it incinerates, destroying the rocket completely... and the warhead itself..it falls back to earth where it was shot from *g* if it had been activated already, i'd not like to stand where it lands ^^

thats was a great video, amazing technology, really, IR lasers are something afterall, butthats was so great how the rocket got affected for mthe Ir heat energy, or was itthe reaction of th IR itself? any one knows

pigcowgreen. I was not aware even 1 of these platforms was operational. I believe you may be misinformed. If you have evidence this system is operational could you direct it to me please.

7 of them have been in operation since the late 90's it is a iodine-chlorine beam... but those engines are not powering it... ive always though it has an on board reactor like the Ussr tanks.However i do not believe this is a "missle defence system" I think this is to kill people that america does not like too much. Heads of state and such
