podfreak, I don't believe that Mark is saying that we should worry and not rely on Jesus in our times of struggle. He's addressing the prosperity gospel which teaches that one is supposed to live "victoriously" in all aspects through God. Anybody who has lived on this earth should realize that pain, failure and disappointment is inevitable at times. In Christ

listen...this guy NEEDS to read the bible..JESUS took the pain so that we dont hav to, he went through mental stress..so that in our times of trouble, we know whom to look to and be care free, he had bad rlationships?..whoa!.the only people that hated him were the ones who didnt belive him...is that very hard to understand? people who loved him loved him to death!and u say u shud worry?..wow!..read th bible..ITS A COMMAND NOT TO WORRY ABOUT THE FUTURE and leave it to GODS GRACIOUS HANDS

another comment from me.. and you know what? i believe that Mark Driscoll is the one who doesn't preached about God at all! the only thing i can see in this video is dat he is slandering Joel Osteen. Telling people dat Joel is wrong & Mark is d one who is right. Jesus is d King of kings! Lord of lords! He holds d universe in d palms of His hands! All things are His for He made it! We christians r co-heir w/Christ! Dat's why i bliv dat His will 4 us is 2 prosper so dat we can reach the unreach...

Too bad your theology isn't supported by 2000 years of Church history. Either they're right, or you're right. To say that you're theology is more correct than Luther's, Calvin's, Edwards', Wesley's is flat out arrogance.

Unfortunately too! Mark Driscoll is one of those who preached false doctrine. I believed that God wants christian to prosper in all aspects including your wallet. How can i tell people that i'm blessed if i dont even have the money to buy things? being prosperous is one of the many ways to glorify God.

You know guys you're just wasting your time listening to this video. Jesus became poor for us to be rich, by his stripes we are healed,.. and God really wants you to have a good relationship to others. if you believe you are a christian then you really are victorious in Christ. that's why he said "it is done".

Pastor, I thoroughly enjoy most of your teachings but your choice to slander your brother in Christ is uncanny. You know very well, he had no control over the Texas Monthly cover, and your state of arrogance in addressing him is reprehensible. Why must Christians tear down others to build themselves up? Did you find nothing worth while in anything he has ever said? If you have, why not highlight that? Why "expose" your brothers supposed shortcomings? You will be judged by the same measure...
