Imagine hearing J.S. play that. I've read that some people think he did not write it though.

Once again! My last comment was intended for pipeorganloverNJP's comment on liking the black keys.

You may know this already. But in the event you did'nt, originally keyboards had this setup. The naturals being black and the accidentals being white. The piano keyboard we are fimiliar with today was the first to have white naturals and black accidentals. Prior to the piano's invention this was the standard to key colors.

Hmmph! I wish youtube would fix their bugs! My last comment was addressed to alra1975's response to the comment about why the organist was shaking his head.

Well put! I was an organist for 15 years. The emotion that fills to overflow when I hear this piece some times leaves me out of control.

I believe the only thing that looks stupid at present is you and your ignorance.

When you'll be able to understand this Music and to play like him, you'll (never) understand...

I can't figure out why he keeps shaking his head, looks pretty stupid

About the video: if you like to see Koopman, go to one of his organ concerts. If you like his playing: buy one of the many cds available of Bach organ-works played by him. (You can find many of them on the playlists on my channel but then buy only orginal cds).

Everyone stop the color references... It's a very sensitive subject. IT STINKS THE WHOLE VIDEO DOESN'T EXIST! I like this interpretation very much. |
