theres no right or wrong with curry, no mama back in india cooks exactly the same (different combinations of spicecs etc)...but onions are a essential in most dishes especially meat.

you can add potatoes also but substituting is not going to be a very good idea.

I think the food is stirred too often. Coriander must only be added when the food cools, incorrectly shown here.
