no, its a Guy Fawkes mask... the person who at the beginning of the movie is transporting barrels of gunpowder and was caught and later executed... it's V's inspiration in blowing the house of parliament, thus the mask...

TashkentFox is prolly right in some point... but him being a democrat will be ineffective against a dictatorial government...i like the way he stood up against the chancellor and brought the whole system down using radical means where no other possible means are effective... and besides, people hate a corrupt government more than the extremists...idk bout you, but i do...

I know changes are going to be made to make it more relatable in a mainstream medium. I'm expecting changes like this in in Watchmen but not as drastic. The movie was in the same spirit of the comic and I really like what they did with it. I'm just suggesting a great read that all fans of the movie should look into.

They HAD to change V into a democrat in the film, people generally don't identify with or support extremists, films need to be for a wider audience than a novel or else they'll be a flop.
