Well, it's probably Alan Fitzgerald on Bass but Edgar Winter is also credited. Open Fire lineup: Ronnie Montrose - Guitars, Theremin, Mandolins, Mandocellos Edgar Winter - Moog Sequencer Bass, Piano, Harpsichord Alan Fitzgerald - Bass Rick Shlosser - Drums Jim Alcivar - Sequencer Programming, Martenot, Moog Synthesizers, Noteably absent: Montrose drummer Denny Carmassi. Town Without Pity-1961 Kirk Douglas movie with title track by Gene Pitney.

Hey Texslim who is playing bass on this cut. I love his style.

Ronnie M - one of the alltime most under-rated guitarist. Early MONTROSE was a flat-assed / flat out rock n roll band. Sammy H's vocals topped it off perfect. Saw 'em in Cleveland 1975, knocked the town down !!

He was so far ahead of his time. As good as Jeff Beck in my book.

Beautiful, amazing guitar interpretation of a classic. Can you find anything better than this instrumentally?

Original by the furiously creative Dimitri Tiompkin, and furiously performed by Montrose. Wouldn't change a damn lick in it cuz this is a bad mo'fo. Actually saw Ronnie M. perform this live in Redondo Beach, California at a medium sized venue years and years ago. Dude blew his ass off. Didn't do too shabbily on Frankenstein either. Johnny Pal

Thankfully nobody has done a "cover" of this song by Montrose....(Kudos to Gene Pitney).....other wise I would tell you to punch yourself in the anus.
