New York City, Nicholas Papain, one of the state's prominent personal injury trial lawyers, was sworn in as the 41st president of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association (NYSTLA) on June 26. He will begin his one-year term on July 1, succeeding Jeff Korek, who was instrumental in leading NYSTLA through an increasingly challenging political climate, as special interest groups continued to wage their war on the civil justice system.
