isis is more musical than tool. the instrumentation, complexity, soundscapes are all much more sophisticated. Alanis morissette outsold tool and isis combined in sales, but it DOES NOT mean that she's "better" so take your uninformed opinions and shove them up your ass

Isis, Off Minor, Opeth, Radiohead, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, Between the Buried and Me, Rosetta, Protest the Hero, Nick Cave, Thrice, Arsis, Russian Circles, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Sigur Ros, Burial, Miles Davis, Dead Kennedys, Dream Theater, Eucalypt, Glassjaw, Elliot Smithetc. i could name more. can't be bothered.Tool is good, but their lyrics aren't amazing, their guitar work is mediocre and not as intricate as people say. the drumming is superb however. and maynards vocals.

Isis is like the better version of tool. tool isn't that musically talented. although maynard is a great vocalist and carey is an amazing drummer. their bassist has flashes of brilliance but overall theyre just a good hard rock band.but yeah thats my opinion

its all opinionated but out of all those bands TOOL has the ability to paint the most surreal landscapes but also the most primitive emotions.... cheers
