I had the good fortune to be a consumer reviewer for a record company at one time, and got advance cassettes to listen to and review before they were released. One of them was Blundell's first project to be released in the U.S. I became an instant fan, and have been slowly tracking down and purchasing his CDs (sometimes at a premium price!). Wonderful, wonderful storyteller, beautiful voice, quality music.

I too first heard/saw this guy on CMT when i was a little kid. I grew up working cattle (cowboying) for my family and when i heard this song and Old Blue Healer i was blown away with how rugged the Australian west (or east, Queensland, whatever) still is. Great post, great artist, still enjoy James Blundell's new stuff.

How a young man can understand the faces of an older generation is a God given gift to try and reveal those feelings to the general public. To this man and those in other lands I hope this song will always lift those spirits should they be trampled on by "time." The first time I heard this song was when it was first released on CMT several years ago. To the user that placed this video for us to view... Thanks a bunch! God Bless Ya!
