when i mean basketball nation, i mean being competitive in the sport...throughout most of time they never had a good basketball program there...Player salaries in China average $12,500 per year and only recently has the nba begun to market there...have they gotten better yes...i don't know if the usa is doping or not, but basketball atheletes should take drug tests like every other olympic athelete

Look the whole world of 5-6 billion players can get only 3-4 NBA all stars or so, and combine the most athletic non US players in the world and they STILL wouldn't be CLOSE TO as athletic as the US team. US players have special talent, so it seems non US player's talent are limited, if 5-6 billion ppl cant come close to the US in individual talent, than 1 billion more greeks wouldn't matter, their talent is limited, u can only produce a couple thousand more Pau Gasols.

the line up wasn't that different and the main core players of lebron, carmelo, and wade remained intact with both teams...As for the China comment, they have never been a basketball nation you dumb fuck...that's like saying why doesn't china dominate hockey(they can't that was never their sport)Furthermore greece is better than china in basketball...why don't you look at their overall fiba standings...and greece has won many medals - european championships and a silver in the world's...
