I heard that Vista has been so bad in a number of different ways that Microsoft have decided to give up all hope and have started building a new operating system something like WINDOWS7? which will scrap VISTA once on the market, is there any truth in this? Is there any truth about this Windows7 and does runs like XP unlike the processor-ram-hungry vista?

256 mb???? wth dude. The version im using, 64bit ultimate, uses 1.7 bg ram xD. well not much of a deal cuz i bought 4x2 gb to overcome that problem and i must say it runs better than my XP machine :O.But indeed it kinda sucked at first when i had to look for all those drivers and shit :

No it wouldn't.I had the themes and all that going. It ran perfectly, the startup though was on about 3 minutes and the shutdown on 1 and ½, the only downside with running Vista on those specs are that you cannot have that many programs running. It was fairly slow with MSN GIMP and Firefox 3 running at the same time. But by that I'm not saying that it was slower than XP.

Honestly, it's okay if you like the OS, but there's no need to be completely fanatic about it. Vista on a 256MB RAM machine running three times faster than XP? Do you also get visits from Nibiru, who reinstall your "monitor drivers", once every so often?I'm not saying that it's impossible to run Vista on that machine, but it'd require you to turn off pretty much every service on it, making it rather useless. |
