In my opinion Dion is an intelligent person, but he's more of a theorician not a people's person thus not a very good politician nor , he just doesnt seem at ease in interviews or anything, he should go back to teaching.

To be fair though, the idea, the concept, the gist of the question doesn't apply in Dion's case. I'm sure Dion understood the concept to an extent, because contrary to what everyone seems to think, he's a bright person. In this interview, a very thorough answer was expected from Dion. The question, being poorly worded, made the "when" factor unclear; when answering a question of such great importance, it's important to thoroughly understand the question; the gist of it isn't good enough.

A minor hearing problem? No, that doesn't cut it in a sound studio. He could hear perfectly clear. Not native to the language? Well, the simple fact of life is that Canada is an english country. If you want to run it, you have to speak the lingo! The simple fact is, Dion was attacking Harper for "doing nothing" and "squandering a budget surplus" as the campaign went on.Dion claimed he knew better and would have prepared. He had his chance to tell us how.
