Most if not all newer forklifts have seat sensors. If they are not pressed down they will not go. Still a great saftly lesson.

Very usefull as an example for the security workers. And sorry, very sorry for the guy...

I've seen my boss do this a few times on the forklift, I never have. I don't understand why you wouldn't just let it hit something...it would probably stall if you left it. This was a mixture of stupidity, inexperience and the guy was just unlucky.

i actually saved a kids life once, he pulled up parallel to a 40yard dumpster and he climbed up in between the safety cage and the lip of the container, (why ill never know) anyway, his knee hit the shifter with the wheels turned, and it pinned him in the chest, without even thinking i jumped on the forklift threw it in reverse and watched him fall to the ground wheezing, he had to go to the hospital but he turned out ok. you shouldve seen the bruise!! it was huge!

yeah, that was a stupid idea to move the forklift like that. I drive a forklift majority of my summer as a student, same age as him, not once did I hurt myself on it.got it stuck in mud one time though...

I know It was his fault, I would have jump back in that baby it seemed to be going slow enough

It's really terrible that it happened. I'm glad he's alive. Now that that's out of the way. Where is the common sense? You wouldn't move a car without getting in it would you? Then why do it with something that weighs at least 3 times as much?

My mistake...this is in Canada...didn't watch the end of the video when I posted that.
