he was in jail for i think 18- 24 months. I found a quote online in an article of him saying :"It's no fun being in jail," he said. "No fun. There's some people that you believe shouldn't be there, and then there's some people that you believe should always be there. But my whole situation was that I needed to go on tour, and I got band members, people that hired us. . . . I said what I had to say, now I gotta go where I gotta go."

he was walkin down the street when two undercovers spotted him do a " handshake thing" with a guy and get a ball of tinfoil but no money exchange. they come up and question and search him and find cocaine in his pocket. But with out a good lawyer he just pleaded guilty and went to rehab to beat the jail sentence. can't afford to defend the fact that w/o probable cause they had no right to search him. Even tho he did the drug, and his rights were violated. Glad he's out n off the drugs tho.

it was probably drug related. he was heavy into drugs. i saw him perform a few years ago and he looked like he had had a stroke. it was sad but he still rocked out

yeah, I would've guessed 60's or early 70s. be thankful you got to see him live. don't know if he's been to portland before.
