The reason he's not full time is that his moments of genius are a bit rare - he lacks consistency

Wow. That happened right in front of me. That was I became a Tomas Schecter fan. I think he would have won the race this past week if not for the broken shaft. HE DESERVES A HIGH QUALITY FULL TIME RIDE!

WOW, I forgot that! He picked off 5 cars in just a few seconds. Sheckter has enough talent to win this year, he just needs some luck.

I think he just wrecked too many cars, although in recent years he's crashed alot less. He's an incredible talent. Isn't this the year panther had the worst luck ever and they had like 10 DNFs.

Don't know why he isn't full-time this year, but if someone gets injured (or fired), I wouldn't be surprised if Scheckter got the call.
