i have Poured water straight into my Carb on my car and it ran Fine it chocks out a little if to much.thats how i steam the carbon out of my 78 LTD 351 Windsor.I had it rebuilt due to wear and it had very little carbon build up

you can start is faster if you prime it better.

water added to a combustion engine while it is running will not stall the engine or seriously impair the combustion process. you can even pour it straight in through the carbs air intake.
