The SCII build at Blizzcon does away with the idea of skill required for macro. Blizzard seems to think competing only on micro and strategy and giving everyone a level playing field when it comes to macro is better.Could kill SCII.

I think building and movment of troops at least in terran style should be very the same, there will be new things you can do for new strategys. But remmeber there not anywhere near finished with this game this is only the start. I hope the zerg kick ass!

Oh yeah, like it really takes skill to make your SCVs mine. There IS a difference between handy automatic features and "macro skillz will be useless." Making them mine when they are first build isn't much different than having them automatically go back and forth between the Command Center and the minerals.
