This is awesome. The funk interlude is unbelievable. Gilmour's lick at 8:04 is possibly one of his best ever, and don't forget to give Waters respect for that driving bass at 7:38.

I think the meaning of the song is about the story of a person who has plunged into a deep depression, and spends his/her existence wandering a metaphorical labyrinth in a coral cave underwater, listening to echoes of normal life, which prompts him or her to start climbing toward the light. On the way there, they see a person who reminds them much of themselves, who takes pity and tries to help them get through their dark stage. There are many hang-ups on the journey back,
