tiger is a "brighter" more "aqua" operating system, leopard is a darker, more "metal" looking system. leopard has a plethora of great new features (but ilife 08 sucks), and tiger is no longer made, so go with leopard. if you must, you can always change icons back to tiger ones with uh... candybar i think.
