THE WAITRESSES "QUIT". A pretty big radio hit in Los Angeles that has surprisingly been left off all the Greatest Hits compilations.-----------BRINGING 4GOTTEN TRAXXX BACK TO THE MASSES!We're posting audio versions of long-forgotten music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s for your listening pleasure. We tend to focus on songs or versions that either have no existing video or one that is not posted on YouTube, and/or are out-of-print, rare and difficult to find.WE PROVIDE THIS SERVICE FOR YOUR LISTENING PLEASURE ONLY, any copying, reproducing or downloading is strictly prohibited. We do not trade or sell mp3s, so don't even ask. All of the items pictured come from private collections, and they are not for sale. Our purpose is to highlight songs that have been unjustly ignored over time, to reunite fans of these long-lost artists, and to hopefully generate enough renewed interest in these past classics to inspire the music industry to offer these songs for sale as legal downloads or reissue these them as compilations.ENJOY AND REMINISCE!

That's what so special about the Waitresses -- all of their songs are so good. This is one of my top 5 favorite bands. I rank them up there with the Suburban Lawns, Plasmatics, B-52's, Lene Lovich and Nina Hagen. Sometimes I rank them as my all time fave band, but they rotate with The Plasmatics cuz Wendy O. was my hero. God the Waitresses were so AWESOME!!! I've loved them since the beginning -- when the hit the scene they had such an innovative sound, lyrics, and vocal styling! It held up!

There's another "skip" at 5:14. I have this cassette, and that's how it sounds on tape as well. I can't believe it's been 26 years since I bought this and "I Could Rule The World, If I Could Only Get The Parts".

saw them quite a few times in NYC back in the day, and still have their vinyl and CD. one of my faves! there's a live video on a HURRAH club dvd of "I Kow What Boys Like." You can actually get it through Amazon. It's kinda crumby but has lots of live stuff from that era. I met Chris Butler at The Bottom Line when Tin Huey (his original band) opened for Television (TV's last live gigs until the 90s rebirth). We could rule the world if we could only get the parts....

Not a skip. Still not sure if it's a bad edit on the master, or if it was played that way. Never got to see them play live.. :(

"..these are coffee shakes! That's all!..."Terribly under-rated band. And I'm old enough to remember them the first time around.

Awesome tune by an awesome New Wave band. Last summer, I met the bassist Tracy Wormworth, and told her how incredible this album was.

One of the few reasons I am glad to be the age I am is to have been there for KROQ (fm rock of the 80s!)back when bands like The Waitresses and Boingo were fresh and cutting edge.Thank you for posting this.

Seriously, did the Waitresses ever play a bad song?
