Thank god someone agrees lol. Its not just Americans, but I've seen it with people from Asia and Africa. When you ask em where they went for holiday, they say Europe. I say what country, they say Europe! LOL

Americans don't actually believe that Europe is one big country (well, the intelligent ones don't). We just usually say Europe because most people go to more than one country while there. When I talk about wanting to go to Europe I mean many countries. It is kind of weird when people say "I went to Europe" when they only went to one country though, I agree.

when i was in london back in 2000 we didn't even realize it but they were filming parts of the first harry potter movie and we couldn't stop at that subway station :) |
