I live here! It's not a lovely city, with the exception of some "nice" (not awesome) places downtown, it is a shit hole--plain and simple. For God's sake, Berlin after the war looked better than some places in Detroit do now. Don't believe me? Just search for "Detroit ghetto" in the search bar above. theres places in canada and france named detroit because its the french word for 'strait'detroit is an amazing city. Just cuz your mind isnt big enough to get past the hard exterior doesn't mean this song is poorly based! Sorry a city has to be 'fancy' or rich or have a majority white population for you to appreciate it!
