I love my waffles cripy and hot. Also if they get cold they go back into the iron.

Also, it will allow both sides to be golden brown rather than one side (the bottom) which is perfectly cooked and the other side with a weird crispy coating.

The reason it spins (and BTW all pro models do) is that waffle batter will only rise ~3/8". If you want a thick Belgian waffle, you need help from gravity. The thickness isn't like eating 2 stacked waffles. It is fluffy with distinct "mouth feel". Like fine ice cream, breads, cakes, cookies, and meringue, a great waffle requires the perfect size and amount of air bubbles. They are actually baked (or frozen) foams. You should watch Good Eats on FoodTV!

i dont get it, what does the rotating action do? what practical function does it serve? it looks like any waffle maker to me just that it spins around.
