Am getting lower jaw moved forward, then crowns & implants done ..i also have a condition called Amelogenesis imperfecta (a condition that I was born with. Enamel didn't develop properly) so it has been a long procedure, braces for nearly 4yrs & now have to go thru the surgery. Its great finding channels like yours so i can get an idea of what's coming to me :) Your profile now is great, can't wait to get the same great results.

I have never had braces before. My teeth were quite straight but not perfect. I didn't have TMJ.

Have you ever had braces before? Your teeth looks really straight before the surgery. The problem with me is that I've had braces before to straighten my crooked teeth and reduce my overbite, but now I want to undergo oral & maxillofacial surgery to cosmetically fix my dental bite so it'll be more aesthetically pleasing. You didn't have TMJ did you?

thats for the compliments. When you fix a functional problem like crooked teeth or a mismatched jaw the result is improved function and improved cosmetic results. I did it for health reasons 1st, cosmetic 2nd.

Hey great vid, congrats! :) Just wanted to ask which city in Aus are you from? I'm in Melb and wanted to ask if it really just cost u $4000+ coz I heard from some people that its at least $15000 to $20000.I really want to get it done but my parents are slightly opposing it since I was given an alternate option. But I don't want to get braces and only be half heartedly satisfied with my results.

Congrats man, I had my surgery july 14th, but I'm wired shut for 6 damn weeks. Good result, hope it heals well.
