I believe that would be because although Goodman was an amazing clarinetist, he was quite self-centered(or so I have read). I think they are close to equal over all though.

My Mom always said she would rather dance than eat. This song was one of the reasons. She just died at 95.

The Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon. Are you ready? You can be! For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Behold the Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon! Call upon the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be ready!

I've always thought that this sounded a teensy bit like "I Got A Gal In Kalamazoo." A few of the phrases are similar. Both are great songs. Aaaaaah ... swing will never go out of style ... and I wasn't even born til after Rock 'n ' Roll was hot!
