"Silent Lucidity" is a single by the progressive rock band Queensrÿche. It was released as the A-side of the band's fifth single from the 1990 album Empire. The song peaked at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The song was composed by lead guitarist Chris DeGarmo. Because of the lyrical content, and the title of the song, it is assumed to be based on the subject of lucid dreaming. Toward the end of the song, a whispered voice even explains a method for this: "Visualize your dream. Record it in the present tense. Put it into a permanent form. If you persist in your efforts, you can achieve dream control."This being one of our favorite songs, we decided to do a cover... adding in a bit of Exabyssus charm. I have sequenced this song with scenes from Lord Of The Rings... kinda fits the mood... don't you think ?!?Hush now dont cryWipe away the teardrop from your eyeYoure lying safe in bedIt was all a bad dreamSpinning in your headYour mind tricked you to feel the painOf someone close to you leaving the game of lifeSo here it is, another chanceWide awake you face the dayYour dream is over...or has it just begun? Theres a place I like to hideA doorway that I run to in the nightRelax child, you were thereBut only didnt realize it and you were scaredIts a place where you will learnTo face your fears, retrace the tearsAnd ride the whims of your mindCommanding in another worldSuddenly, you hear and seeThis magic new dimensionChorusI-will be watching over youI-am gonna help you see it throughI-will protect you in the nightI-am smiling next to you...in silent lucidityIf you open your mind for meYou wont rely on open eyes to seeThe walls you built withinCome tumblng down, and a new world will beginLiving twice at once you learnYou7re safe froom pain in the dream domainA soul set free to flyA round trip journey in your headMaster of illusion, can you realizeYour dreams alive, you can be the guide but...

Thank you Vlad... I think you made a very keen observation there... We are more into agressive, fast, stuff... so we do need to get more expressive on slow ballads... I agree with you totally man.Thank you... Cheers !

I think a few comments here were def too mean. I like the slightly different feel you gave the song, even on the solo. The slow part of it really fits the mood of the song and the guitar has a really nice sound. That said, the last part of the solo, where it gets more powerful lacked a bit of expressiveness, it was flat, and the singing while good, could also be better. I see you better on faster tracks. You lack some softness when beginning the notes and the tone's kinda flat. Still, thumb's up
