"Stars and Bars," or the "Rebel Flag." In the spirit of Lynyrd Skynyrd or Pantera, they probably used it as either an expression of Southern pride or more loosely, as a general antiauthoritan statement.

GOATSANKE are great, the vocals are great, even though the first record was largely influenced by the CATHEDRAL(93'-97') sound. i was introduced to GOATSNAKE by listening to Flower of Disease(IMO is influenced by CREAM/SABBATH) and then buying all the older releases soon after. HAIL GOATSNAKE!!!

Goatsnake kicks ass. however, i could do without their shitty vocals. Go listen to some burning witch. SLUUUUUUUDGE!
