Georgian kids dancing Simd

One of the most beautiful Caucasian dances, the Ossetian "Simd", respected and loved in Georgia, to the point that it became part of Georgain choreographic culture, just like Ossetians, who resided on Georgian territories since at least a decade of centuries ago, became part of Georgia's history. Often, during the crucial times throughout the Georgian history, (until Russian Empire's destructive and provocative politics in Caucasus in general and on Georgian territory in particular), Ossetians were among the patriots of Georgia, fighting for its freedom and prosperity. David Soslan, Ossetian prince and consort of Queen Tamar, was one of the most successful and dedicated military strategos. For his magnificent victory over the Seljuks and the Sultan of Rum David Soslan was granted the name of "The Lion of Basiani" by the people of Georgia.To all Ossetians, citizens of united Georgia and patriots of our country I dedicate this little masterpiece. It might be that some ethnic Ossetian kids are participating in the performance as well, since famous Georgian dance companies always featured some wonderful Ossetian dancers as soloists.
