CN has started using DPU's on many trains between Winnipeg and Vancouver, such as the 888/889 (grain loads/empties), 303 which starts in Edmonton, and quite a few others.

CN has no need to run mid train or tailend helpers on the Edmonton to van line as it is for the most part a flat route. Cp has then to help push up the hills and equal out the train forces

How many CN grain trains this line sees daily? A bunch I'm sure.

I sure you might have, but have ever seen a CN locomotive in middle of the grain train? Since the CN train is so long I figured it would require a mid helper. I love the CN grain trains.
