The Cheetah- will it be fast enough?

The Cheetah fights for its place in this growing world. As our populations grow, many wildlife populations are falling fast. Few have fallen as fast as the cheetahs. With 90% of all cheetahs being wiped out in the past 100 years, estimates are from a low 10,000 or so to a high 14,000 left in the wild. Numbers of wild cheetahs fall every day due to conflict with farmers for land, as well as the losing battle for prey and territory against hyena and lion. There are a few places in Africa that will have visitors pay to play with baby cheetahs, but be sure to support those organizations that just dont say they are going to one day release cheetahs into in the wild, but have done so already. Using cheetahs for outreach animals here in the U.S. is debated by conservationist.One thing is for sure, the wild cheetah needs our help fast. Some may say it is too late, but we should try to save what we can and the habitat that is needed for their survival.
