y'all come now...that's how he covers that he's lipsyncing. Michael has been doing it for years. It's a singers trick...especially when they are unsure of the next line or section of a song. I LOVE Michael but it's true...

He did it to keep sweat from getting on the mic

no no, cause he is putting his hand over and around the mic to get more sound in. he is not lip syning, of course not. he can sing his own songs

why does michael keep putting his hand over his mouth? was he lip singing that day or something? not to be mean or anything

I did notice it was very like the CD-version, but than again he is (was?) on of the best live perfomer ever. But now, I carefully listened to the Jackson 5 songs he sang on thes concert, and the voice weren't that good ...Just hope he is in a good shape and is back on track again, because I can't wait to here som real music again ...

He lip synced in this concert, but the song is pre-recorded and that's why it sounds different to the CD.That's the question all the fans have. Four years after HIStory, in this concert, he lip synced too. Michael has a bad health although he is only 50, I'd be happy if he records another album and make some concerts.

i took a close listen but i know its lipsynched cuz in all of the solo songs in this concert the pitch in his voice is deeper than the original, but you just know its synched because it sounds just like the cd just a bit deeper |
