i saw this on tv in houston.2 guys from a news crew WWL channel 4 were filming there.the guy was trying to get to metairie to check on family members.the rescuer handed the camera to the announcer when he saw the car go into the water. the road dips down in that spot.most of that road[I-10] was not underwater, except in a few spots in n.o.

I'm amazed at how long he took to get out of the fucking car...

The people saying that this was planned are completely wrong. I'm related to the man who saved the guy in the car...it was not at all planned. They were cut completely off guard while filming the storm. Can't he get the credit he rightfully deserves for saving a life??

Is it an optical illusion or is that car missing it's rear window.

And therefore it is scary to make a quick decision, not knowing if that choice will be your last.

You do know that water flood water on roads are hard to see. you think its ok till you are actually driving in it till you realize its deep its very hard to judge how deep the water is till you drive in it.

I might add, it's nice to see some understanding comments here as well, makes a pleasant change.

Poor guy probably didnt even see the water, some of you folks judge way to harsly to be honest. Any of us can make a mistake like that sometime in our lives, I'm just glad he was ok. |
