Hmmm, I tested mine almost exclusively outdoors in very bright direct sunlight and didn't experience the issue you mention.

0:44 prximity sensor???? mmm im very disappointed with that. i have to switch off that function becos LCD flickers like hell under sunlight (outdoors). so its a problem with this camera. Its a a wide spread issue becos i googled it and reserched about it. rewierers never mention this.

It sounds like the camera;s autofocus system is getting confused and 'hunting' for the subject. I'd recommend either pointint it at something easier to focus on, increasing the surrounding light, or simply switching the lens to manual focus and manually focus it instead. The D60 won't improve this.

Thanks for the vid. this was fantastic help! I'm looking at buying a camera for myself. I'm pretty handy at the d40 but ive found that the one thing i dont like about it is sometimes i try to take a picture on autofocus and it wont take and i'll wait and wait and wait and just will not take. will I have the same problem?

Yes it does if you get the kit with the Nikkor DX 18-55mm VR as seen in the video and in my review at cameralabs . com.

does the lens from the standard D60 kit have auto focus and image stabilization on it?if not, which is the cheapest lens that has both? |
