delta wing are stronger and can carry more fuel than swept wings, but i think one of the main advantage is low flying. from what i know the french airforce has a tactic of long penetration into ennemy territories at very low altitude, so delta wing is a very good choice.

What is the top speed for 'em delta-wing speedster? I just cant imagine a delta wing fighter capable of doing same combat flying as current F18 and F16. Or maybe cos we dont see 'em much. Hmm I betta get out the books I have, gathering dust somewhere....

mirage 2000/5 mk2 is roughly the equivalent of a f18 or f16.rafale is on same level as f18 E/F super hornet and eurofighter.nobody know for the F22 since it has never been tested against foreign aircrafts, even from allied countries. but i imagine it outstanding.

Well, we have the Dassaut Rafale for the Navy, maybe we'll have it for the Air Force. Some say we should have buy F-18 instead of designing our own fighter. Instead of buying existing equipment, our government want to build all in France and spend years and a lot of money to design it. As result, we have out of date equipment, and our new stuff are too expensive to be sold. Just look, a lot of countries prefer buying Leopard tanks rather than our Leclerc...Stupid -_-

Hmm do you know what'll be the next fighters you gonna have? Eurofighters or the latest US metals, or even the Soviets? I'm from DownUnda and our govts are still bickering whether to get JSA F35 or not? Until now we gonna get the new Super Hornets as a sort of stop gap, but it is getting very messy with paperworks.

That's right, our planes becomes a bit old now, but the French government has no coherent and smart military politic. Then the French soldiers do the best with the material they have...
