But you have to admit, and I'm saying this as a big ramones fan, that they had some very poppy influenced songs, like "I wanna be your boyfriend" which was their most sugary song in my opinion, and the song "rockaway beach" which shows how influenced they were by the beach boys. Being pop isn't bad, it's all in how you approach your music and whether you're doing it for money (like most pop singers) or for the music (like the beatles or beach boys)

Richie and Marky Ramone are my favourite Drummers. Sure wish Richie didn't leave because the Ramones werent giving him a share of the money from T-shirts, He could of wrote some brillent songs for the Ramones.

well the ramones at there time were mostly hated, the mojority of people at there shows came to boo in between songs, and so they decided not to stop and would play with only a few seconds between songs,its only after they were appreciated for inventing punk

What? I'm tired of people saying that Ramones are pop punk. They started the whole scene and should be regarded as the best.
