I was Always taught in School that a Guy named Leaf Erickson discovered America ..He was a Viking so this would of made more sense ..They were a sea going nation and would of been able to get to arctic via Iceland then follow the Canadian coast ..Chris Columbus was the 1st Money backed venture hence more exposure

Don't take it too hard. Every country does the same. You should read what Russian and Chinese children are told; you'd find British history pretty weird.Societies need myths and heroes- For a century after the Boston Massacre all Paul Revere was known for was doing an engraving. Then the story of the midnight run appeared. Is it a true story? Who cares, it's good.

You cannot enslave people, unless you make them forget who they really are...when you can no longer make it profitablle to keep chains on the bodies, then you rewrite histroy, burn librays and ban books, forbide them to read and write, thereby, putting chains on their brains..Oh, George, Wilber and his brother fiqured out man could fly, but original Ancient people had help from above? right!

Thank you dude for your time you are taking to spread the truth, I'm still trying to find out how my people came to the Fiji islands, we have in our stories that was tought to us during beach fires through songs and dance,(we did'nt have any written history before the english came) that our forfathers came on a DRUA which is a catmaran which could carry at least 200 people-
