The Residents are a mysterious experimental band who have refused to show their faces throughout the years thus they hide behind eye-ball masks, they wear tuxedos too. the music is close to anything to do with Spark's stuff, but the visuals.. i'd say they're very similar to this video!

Most of the reason that I think this is because of it being difficult to find anything new. This song is really great!Perhaps I just need to hear more? Anyway, that's what I am thinking. No matter how you look at it there is nothing like them out there, totally brilliant and original.

Idiot dj Mark Radcliffe called "Lil' Beethoven" LITTLE Beethoven on his Sparks radio doc. I mailed him to say he was a cretin literalist who by saying "little",completely missed Ron Mael's subtle joke...he just responded with sarcasm.Philistine tosser!

Well, that's a matter of taste of course. Personally I love the earlier and later work. I think it's fair to say that Sparks have remained an innovative musical force for over 30 years. What's particularly admirable is that they have not been afraid to try different musical styles (and invent a few I may add). I, for one, am amazed at their musical diversity and continuing commitment to making unique music. Ok, that's my hero worship over. All hail Sparks!! :)

I think...I am qualifying this...That the early stuff (the 70's) was better! Am I the only one? please respond. |
