no magnets, no video manipulation, at certain harmonics (dependant on the plate's composition, weight, & shape) the plate will vibrate in a certain way.As for the particles, they'll keep moving as long as the surface immediately under them is vibrating, & they stop when they hit a quiet patch.Vague explination I know... I just think it's neat =)
