Great subject, but a fucking boring lecturer. The fast forward was much appreciated and much used to escape the drawl and dross of a bad communicator. It seems that currently to be a lecturer communication skills are not necessary.

If the Milky Way galaxy was 100 miles wide, our entire solar system would be smaller than 1/8 of an inch. A light year (which is traveling at 186,000 miles per second in a straight line for one year) is 5.8 trillion miles, the milky way galaxy is 100,000 light years across (= 5.8 trillion X 100,000!!) our solar system in 3.6 billion miles in length...unbelievable!!
