I learned how to find the square root of a number by theLONG HAND method in 1969. Now I'm older and wiser and no longer can do it. With my slick computers, Google, thousands more books & references, I'm perplexed how it was ever done. Everyone in 1969 that knew this "lost" art is either dead, forgot or not talking. That's how things are. Most sports records set in 1969 have never been surpassed or broken since. I'm surprised we even have the tapes of these achievements.
