The difference is people like that guy exploit the fear of confused people.. Using fear to push an egotistical agenda = pure evil

Bill Hicks spoke of truth so heres a fact - HICKS WAS PURE GENIUS!!!! as for the comment about making you think or not posted by Liamos85 all comedy is educational and there should be no topic off limit. This is why Hicks was a genius - he was a master of explaning the errossion of society, policital satire at its very best! Have a look at Lenny Bruce who was a major influence on Hicks.

You have to look at timespan Bill didnt have as much time as Izzard or Connolly both have had far more time than Bill did. He achieved so much in such a little amount of time plus Bill was a massive influence on Izzard. I agree with you on Bills intelligence but it comes downs to a question are comedians only make to make you laugh or are they meant to make you think aswell?

I don't think Bill Hicks was as funny as he was clever.I think he was an incredibly intelligent person and a good comedian, some of his stuff was hilarious granted, but I would place Eddie Izzard and Billy Connoly above him in a best stand up list.Come to think of it scrap that. He would make the top 10.

Hicks once said that the good guys always die: "Jesus - murdered, ghandi - murdered, Martin Luther King - murdered, Malcolm X - murdered, Reagan - wounded." Brilliant.

These words should be struck into gold plaques and put in every major and minor city as the nearest thing to the absolute truth. |
