i personally really like their cover of this song. I love the original and i think they do a great job. they aren't trying to do an exact replica of the original they're just covering a song. people need to stop being so negative.
ChoppinBroccoli22 (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
yes it is. it's just BP singing instead of kevin.

These douche bags are ruining the whole concept of the song. If theres some dignity in you people try and get the real deal from the mutatntes and listen to the geniousness behind the vocals in the song. This is so fucking lame

yeah... 'macumba' it's a sort of afro-american black magic, just like voodoo... and i think 'bat' make it means that it's a batman's black magic. heheh.... ya know, like 'bat mobile' or 'bat plane' from that 70's series.well.. that's what i think

falou tudo e mais um pouco
kamaradakamikaze (December 31, 1969 at 6:59 pm)
Well macumba it sorta means "black magic" inflicted to a person. i guess "bat" makes reference to the blood sucking animal, cause it's not portuguese.

dude, just because they're covering an Os Mutantes song and it's not kevin singing doesn't make it not of Montreal.
